The original animated feature film "Your Color" directed by Yamada Naoko, known for films such as "A Silent Voice" and "Liz and the Blue Bird," was released on August 30th, and celebrities such as director Shinkai Makoto, known for films such as "Your Name" and "Sparrow's Door Lock," have sent in rave reviews. Shinkai said, "It's a very gentle, cute, and soft film, but it's also filled with a strong determination. It's amazing that they were able to create this film now...! I can't help but imagine that the planning and production of the film must have been a struggle. It's very encouraging and I admire them. If each film has its own "color," then "Your Color" is a one-of-a-kind film that expands the colors that exist in the world itself, increasing the number of colors that can be seen by the eye." Actor Matsuoka Mayu, who appeared as a voice actor in "A Silent Voice," commented, "Your impatience and excitement are yours alone, and no one can invade them. The young people portrayed by Yamada Naoko are so gentle and dazzling. I wonder if everyone has been like this. Is there such a bright light shining on everyone? Director Yamada Naoko x Girl with a Guitar really hit home for me, as I watched "K-ON!" as a high school student and bought a Gibson. At the climax, everything is forgiven and you can dance. I hope you will experience that atmosphere at the theater." Yoko Hikasa, a voice actress who appeared in the popular anime "K-ON!", said, "Through the water, colors mix. Sounds resonate. Whether it turns black or creates a new color is always up to you. Colors mix, sounds overlap, and instead of destroying all traditions and rules, the courage to cherish them and not be afraid to become a different color will color your life. And we will continue to set out in search of new colors. This work makes you believe that encounters and partings are also something that color you. The colors and sounds that Director Yamada depicted spread ripples in the ocean of my heart. There was something warm and nostalgic about what he was saying quietly, and for no reason a drop of water spilled out of me. I hope that Naoko Yamada's colors and sounds will seep into you as well..." Director Tetsuro Araki, known for "Attack on Titan" and "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress," commented, "The beauty takes your breath away. The colors and pictures are delicately controlled... amazing expressiveness! The ending was also very exciting. It was wonderful! I fell in love with the cute sister teacher!"

Screenwriter Koji Seko, known for "Jujutsu Kaisen," said, "I think there is a certain kind of 'boredom' throughout the whole movie. But that 'boredom' is comfortable. I think it's a special kind of 'boredom' that only high school students can have. Dramatic events don't happen very often, but they are burdened with problems that they can't help but worry about (different from those elementary and middle school students have), and most of the time they are unable to solve them, and the days just pass by in a monotone. They try to resist such days in a small way. For example, they play "Blue Monday" at full volume. It's 'boredom' that probably everyone who has been in high school has experienced. I really love that."

"Your Color" tells the story of Higurashi Totsuko, a high school girl who can see people in "colors," who ends up forming a band with Sakunaga Kimi, a girl who radiates beautiful colors and who attends the same school as her, and Kagehira Rui, a boy who loves music. Actors Suzuki Sayu plays Totsuko, Takaishi Akari plays Kimi, Kido Daisei plays Rui, and Aragaki Yui plays Hiyoshiko, a nun at Totsuko's school.

The script is written by Yoshida Reiko, who has also teamed up with Director Yamada on "A Silent Voice," and Ushio Kensuke is in charge of the music. The film will be produced by Science SARU, which has worked on "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!" and "The Tale of the Heike." The film will be planned and produced by STORY inc., which has worked on Shinkai's "Your Name" and "Sparrow's Lock."
