On September 5th, TBS held an explanatory meeting for the October reorganization at its headquarters (Minato-ku, Tokyo). Newcomer Urano Kaira, who joined the company in April this year, acted as the moderator and gave a fresh greeting.

Urano was born on November 5th, 2001 in Okayama Prefecture, and grew up in Wellington, New Zealand, and Minoh, Osaka Prefecture. She graduated from the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Sociology, Rikkyo University.

When asked to introduce herself by fellow moderator Sugiyama Shinya, Urano began by saying, "I'm nervous," and shared her goal: "My hobby is watching rugby, and my special skill is speaking English, so one day I'd like to use English to cover the All Blacks of New Zealand, my father's home country."

Currently appearing on the station's morning information program "THE TIME," (Monday to Friday, 5:20 a.m.), when she said of her role, "Host? Maybe...," laughter erupted from the audience. Sugiyama quickly followed up by saying, "The main host is Yasuzumi, but it's kind of a hosting role," to which Urano corrected, "I'm hosting a segment."

She continued, "I write about entertainment, weather, and recently I've even tried my hand at news scripts. I recently realized that it's easier to come to the office at 1:30am than at 7:30am." She explained, "It's a different kind of enthusiasm to go to sleep normally and wake up normally. When I wake up late at night I feel excited, but when I come to work around 7:30am I feel like I'm going to school, so I get pumped up."
