It has been announced that the first exhibition of Naoya Matsumoto's popular manga "Kaiju No. 8," currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," entitled "Kaiju No. 8 Exhibition," will feature "Kaiju Hyakkei," an illustration that Matsumoto created specifically for the exhibition. "Kaiju Hyakkei" is an illustrated series that depicts everyday scenes in which monsters exist. The special illustration, which will be exhibited as the exhibition is being held at Gallery AaMo in Tokyo Dome City (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo), depicts a scene in which Hibino Kafka and his team head to defeat a giant monster that is attacking the Tokyo Dome. It will be exhibited as a huge illustration measuring approximately 2.4 meters in height and 3.1 meters in width.

It was also announced that a manga drawn specifically for the exhibition will be exhibited. In line with the concept of the exhibition, which is that "visitors become candidates and tour the defense force base," the illustration depicts defense force members preparing the exhibition venue (the defense force base) for the candidates.

To commemorate the opening of the exhibition, menus inspired by the characters will be available for a limited time at six stores within Tokyo Dome City. The lineup includes "Hoshina's 'Follow me to the death' Mont Blanc parfait" (1,200 yen), "Kikoru's hot dog smashed through with overwhelming power" (1,210 yen), "32-year-old Hibino Kafka's manly meal! (Black curry hamburger)" (1,580 yen), "Sweet snacks while loading the next bullet! Mina and Bakko's doughnut soft serve ice cream" (900 yen), "Reno's frozen bullet curry, the man who never gives up" (1,760 yen), and "Narumi's 'Let's go hunting' cream bun *set of two" (1,296 yen). If you order any of the corresponding menu items from September 13th to November 10th, you will receive one original coaster (6 types in total) at random for each item.

The exhibition will be held at Tokyo Dome City Gallery AaMo from September 13th to November 10th.
