Talent Maki Karusell will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast from 1:00 pm on September 6th. Now 81 years old and still wearing 13cm high heels, Karusell's life has changed dramatically since she was rushed into hospital with a cerebral infarction four years ago. It has been 20 years since she changed her family register to female in 2004. She will talk about her eventful life and her current situation.

After a serious illness, she cut her hair short, stopped dyeing it, and changed her life dramatically to a healthy lifestyle, walking 5,000 steps a day for health reasons. She will show how she walks hard even at home. She also lives with her 88-year-old sister. Recently, she has encountered crimes targeting the homes of elderly people. She says that she has had calls to her home from "I'm your son" scams, and people have tried to get into her house by claiming to be from a company. She says that now it is important to exchange information with neighbors.

Last year, at the age of 80, she received an offer to star in a movie. She also talks about the episode where she was filmed without makeup in the extremely cold weather of minus 20 degrees in Hokkaido.
