It has been revealed that "The Theater of Haruhi Suzumiya", the latest work in the popular "Haruhi Suzumiya" series by Nagaru Tanigawa, published by Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko (KADOKAWA), will be released worldwide on November 29th. This will be the first new work in about four years since "The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya" was released in 2020. A cover illustration featuring Yuki Nagato and Mikuru Asahina has also been released.

"The Theater of Haruhi Suzumiya" is said to be a long, spectacular adventure that travels through time and the world, with the protagonist being asked to defeat an evil demon king at the royal palace, flying into outer space, a western movie, and a mythical world. A real-life participatory event will also be held at Tokorozawa Sakura Town (Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture) to commemorate the release of the new book. Details will be announced in the future. It has also been revealed that the Kadokawa Bunko (KADOKAWA) version of "The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya" will be released on November 25th.

The "Suzumiya Haruhi" series tells the story of a high school girl named Suzumiya Haruhi who loves aliens, people from the future, psychics and paranormal phenomena, and her friends, an ordinary high school boy named Kyon, who get caught up in a series of chaotic events as mysterious events occur one after another around them.

The first volume, "The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi," was published in 2003, and has sold over 20 million copies in total. An anime series was broadcast on TV in 2006 and 2009, and the anime film "The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi" was released in 2010.
