It has been revealed that the sequel to the Noh and Kyogen "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba," based on the popular manga "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" by Gotouge Koyoharu, "Noh and Kyogen 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' -Tsugu-," will be performed at the Kanze Noh Theatre GINZA SIX (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from December 25th to 29th. The main visual, a new drawing by the original author Gotouge of the popular character Rengoku Kyojuro, was also released for the performance.

The sequel will be directed and re-written by Nomura Mansai, who will appear as Rengoku Kyojuro, Daki, and Kibutsuji Muzan. Living National Treasure Otsuki Bunzo will oversee the production. Performances are also planned for Fukuoka, Osaka, and Aichi in 2025.

Mansai said, "After receiving great reviews, we will finally be performing the long-awaited sequel, "Noh Kyogen 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba' -Sequel-". The story will be told in the world of Noh and Kyogen, focusing on the stories of Rengoku Kyojuro, Enmu, Akaza, Uzui Tengen, Daki, and Gyutaro. The previous production focused on the birth of the Demon Slayer Corps' Tanjiro Kamado and the sadness of demons, but this time we will also focus on the way of life of the pillars who confront demons. We are currently working on the script and directing plan for the new production, and we are burning with passion to show everyone the wide variety of Noh and Kyogen. Please look forward to it!"

The main performance of "Noh Kyogen 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba'" was performed in Tokyo and Osaka in 2022, and additional performances were performed in Kyoto, Fukuoka, Aichi, and Kanagawa in 2023.

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" tells the story of Kamado Tanjiro, whose family was killed by demons, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has also turned into a demon, back into a human. The original manga was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The total number of copies of the comics published is over 150 million.
