The first episode of the drama series "Reborn ~The Last Hero~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9 PM), starring actor Issei Takahashi, aired on April 14th, and it has been revealed that the average viewership ratings (according to Video Research, Kanto region) were 6.1% for households and 3.3% for individuals.
The drama tells the story of a man who is reborn as a different person and given a second chance at life. Takahashi plays two roles: Mitsunori Neo, an IT company president who has achieved great wealth and fame and is called a "charisma of the times," and Hideto Nomoto, the heir to a dry cleaning business. Other cast members in the drama include Anne Nakamura, Ouji Suzuka, Mayu Yokota, Fumiyo Kohinata, and Masachika Ichimura.
In the first episode, Mitsunori Neo, the president of a new IT company and hailed as a "charisma of the times," is a young entrepreneur who has achieved success through numerous business ventures. Driven by ambition to reign supreme in the industry, Mitsunori relentlessly pursues his goals using ruthless methods. One day, Mitsunori is pushed down the stairs by someone and presumably dies from the fall, but for some reason, he wakes up in a hospital.
The story unfolds in a world set in 2012, where Mitsumasa has been "reincarnated" as Hideto Nomoto, a man who looks exactly like him and lives in a dilapidated shopping district...
