On October 17th, actress Ami Touma appeared on stage to greet viewers on the opening day of her starring film "Strawberry Moon: A Love with Six Months to Live" (directed by Sakai Mai) in Tokyo, along with her co-stars Jun Saito, Ayami Nakajo, Ikebata Anji, Ito Kentaro, Tanaka Rena, and director Sakai.
The film tells the story of Sakurai Moe (Touma), who is told she has only six months to live, and who falls in love with Hinata (Saito) for the rest of her life in the spring of her first year of high school. Hinata 13 years later will be played by Yosuke Sugino, and Takato Rei, Hinata's childhood friend and Moe's best friend, will be played by Nakajo 13 years later. The script was written by Okada Yoshikazu, who has worked on numerous films such as "10 Years Left to Live" and "Now, I'm Going to See You." The film will be directed by up-and-coming director Sakai, known for "Beautiful Him: Eternal."
