It has been revealed that a new theatrical version of the anime "Sgt. Frog", based on the popular manga by Mine Yoshizaki, will be produced and released in the summer of 2026. This will be the first theatrical version of the work in about 16 years since "Super Movie Keroro Gunso: Birth! Ultimate Keroro: Miracle Space-Time Island!!" was released in 2010.
Yuichi Fukuda, known for the TV drama "Yusha Yoshihiko" and the movie "Gintama", will be the general director and scriptwriter. Fumitoshi Ozaki, who was in charge of character design for the TV series, will be the director, and Satoshi Koike, who also participated in the TV series, will be in charge of character design. BN Pictures will produce the anime.
A special Teaser trailer was also released, featuring singer and talent Ano-san, also known as Ano-chan, and comedian Soshina singing the newly composed song "Mata Kaettekita Kero! To March."
