Episode 9 of the TV anime "Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!", based on Harunori's "classic BL comedy" manga, titled "Pursuit! The Cultural Festival on a Starry Night!!", will air on TOKYO MX and other channels from late night on May 27th. Hiroki Nanami will appear as an additional cast member in episode 9.
It's the school festival. Nakamura is alone, despite his wish to go around with Hirose. He picks up a flyer for the drama club and, while walking around wondering whether to see a play, he bumps into a woman. She looks exactly like Hirose... While he's trying to figure out who she is, Tamura asks him to fill in for a vacant role. When he looks at the stage, he sees the woman he bumped into earlier.
"Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!" is a popular series that depicts the fantasies and reckless actions surrounding the unrequited love of shy high school student Nakamura Otokoto for his classmate Hirose Aiki, all in a nostalgic 1980s-90s style. The manga is published by Heroes. The anime is directed by Umeki Aoi, who also handles the script and character design. Drive is producing the anime. Chiaki Kobayashi voices Nakamura Otokoto and Sakakibara Yuki voices Hirose Aiki. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
