Episode 6, "Memories of That Day," of the TV anime "MAO," based on the latest work by Rumiko Takahashi , known for manga such as " Urusei Yatsura ," "Ranma 1/2," and "Inuyasha," will be broadcast on NHK General on Getsuku at 11:45 PM.
Nanaka tells Mao and Otsuya that she came from 100 years in the future, but they don't believe her. Back in the present, Nanaka drinks the antidote given to her by Mao and remembers the day of the accident eight years ago. With doubts, Nanaka heads to the Taisho era to meet Mao.
The original manga has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan) since May 2019. Set in the Taisho era, it's a dark fantasy x time-slip mystery about Mao, an onmyoji (exorcist) who has lived for 900 years, who meets Kiyoha Nanaka, a girl who has wandered in from the Reiwa era, and together they confront a chain of curses. The anime is directed by Teruo Sato and produced by Sunrise. It will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons.
