It has been announced that the final performance of the latest tour by the four-member band King Gnu, to be held at Yokohama Arena (Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City) on July 15th, will be broadcast live on WOWOW. In addition to this performance, WOWOW has also announced a lineup of special features for three consecutive months, including past live performances and a music video (MV) collection.
King Gnu made their major debut in 2019. Their drama theme song "Hakujitsu" became a record-breaking hit, and they held a stadium tour in 2023. Their five-dome tour in 2024 was a remarkable achievement, the fastest ever for a band.
The "King Gnu CEN+RAL Tour 2026," which started in February of this year, will consist of 31 performances in 16 cities, the most in King Gnu's history, and will tour various Asian cities such as Bangkok and Hong Kong from May to June. The Yokohama Arena performances in July will be two additional shows and will be the finale of the tour, which will last for about half a year.
For this tour, they are adopting a center stage format for the first time, performing right in the heart of the frenzy, surrounded by fans on all sides. The official live video for their latest single "AIZO," the opening theme for the TV anime "Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1" and a global hit, offers a glimpse of the spectacle, utilizing giant LED screens and lighting effects.
WOWOW will broadcast and stream live the final day of the additional performance at Yokohama Arena, titled "Live Broadcast! King Gnu CEN+RAL Tour 2026," on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 6 PM on July 15th.
