A character PV for Jean from the TV anime "Tetsunabe no Jean!", based on the manga by Shinji Saijo serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), has been released on YouTube. The PV depicts Jean's unwavering dedication to winning, with "no friends, no obligations, and no tears." It was also announced that a PV for Kiriko will be released on April 30th at 5:30 PM, and a PV for Okonogi will be released on May 7th at 5:30 PM.
"Tetsunabe no Jan!" is a manga depicting an unprecedented cooking battle. The protagonist, Jan, believes victory is all about cooking and anything goes, while the pure and innocent heroine, Kiriko, believes that cooking is her heart, unleashes magical, deadly weapons (cooking). It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" from 1995 to 2000. The series has sold over 10 million copies in total. The digital version of the sequel, "Tetsunabe no Jan! R," will be available from April 24th.
This marks the first time the series has been adapted into an anime. It will be directed by Ei Aoki, known for his work on numerous popular titles such as "Fate / Zero," " Aldnoah.Zero ," and "The Garden of Sinners: The Movie," and produced by TROYCA, known for "Aldnoah.Zero," "Overtake!," and "ATRI." Kikunosuke Toya will voice the protagonist, Jean Ikumi Hasegawa, while Kohei Amasaki, Jean's only confidant. Kenjiro Tsuda will provide the narration. It will air on TV Tokyo and other channels in 2006.
