The second episode of the drama "Daimaru Ai Makes a Choice" (TV Asahi, Saturdays at 12:30am), starring Kumamoto Pro Wrestling of the comedy duo "Beni Shoga," will air on the night of April 11th. In this episode, Daimaru Ai, played by Kumamoto, and her partner Misaki Tomoe, played by Moriya Rena of the idol group "Sakurazaka46," go undercover to investigate a host club suspected of operating illegally.
This is the fifth installment of "Dora Dora Daisakusen," a drama series produced by the directors and producers of TV Asahi's variety shows. It's a love suspense story about Ai Oomaru, a female detective with a penchant for shojo manga and a vivid imagination, who finds herself falling in love with handsome, mysterious men who are suspects in a case, and is forced to choose between "love or justice?" The final "ultimate choice" will be tackled by Kumamoto with an unscripted, improvised performance. 4 episodes in total.
In episode 2, actor Eito Konishi and Hiromu Honda from the idol duo "ROIROM" will make guest appearances, playing Makoto and Taiga, who work at a host club, respectively.
Ai and Tomoe go undercover at a host club, but she finds herself caught between Makoto, a "prince" character straight out of a shojo manga, and Taiga, a gruff "tsundere, arrogant prince," and her emotions are thrown into turmoil... and so the story unfolds.
Kumamoto commented, "I think episode 2 is where Ai's fantasies about shojo manga really explode. Several of Ai's ideal men appear, so please look forward to it...!!"
Moriya commented, "This drama is a detective drama, but it also has romantic and comedic elements, so I think it's a really fun drama with a wide range of elements. I hope you'll laugh a lot."
