TBS's major special program "All-Star Thanksgiving Festival 2026 Spring," hosted by Koji Imada and Wakako Shimazaki, was broadcast live from 6:30 p.m. on April 4th, and an actor who ran a fierce race in the show's signature segment, "Akasaka 5-chome Mini Marathon," became a hot topic.
This time, Yuya Yoshida, who represented Japan in the marathon at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, will be participating. Other participants include Narumi Takahashi, who gained attention for her commentary at the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, Rinne Sugata of "B&ZAI," who has won the race before, Wakana Kazami of "Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku," Makoto Sakashita of "NMB48," Kenji Moriwaki, Harry Sugiyama, and Yoshio Kojima, all regular runners.
In the marathon, 28-year-old actor Kohei Fukuyama took the lead and maintained it throughout. He continued his strong run and won the race on his first attempt. Fukuyama was scouted in the spring of 2013 when he caught the eye of someone in the industry at a piano recital. He took up piano and baseball as hobbies and graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in March 2020.
Fukuyama said, "Thank you very much! I've been doing a long run of Harry Potter, so I have the stamina I've built up on stage, which has contributed to my marathon results."
Comments on social media include "That was incredibly fast," "Kohei Fukuyama is amazing!!!," and "Harry Potter spirit! Kohei Fukuyama! Wonderful!"
