"Shinjuku Anison Scope," a segment where Sho Higuchi, the anime buyer at Tower Records Shinjuku store known for its extensive selection of anime songs, shares insights into best-selling anime songs and firsthand accounts from the sales floor, reports that the number one best-selling item at the store from March 23rd to 29th was "WAKE:WOKE/BURN:BORN," a collaboration single between the school idol units "Guilty Kiss" and "Saint Snow" from the school idol project "Love Live! Sunshine!! !!". The single was released under the artist name "GKSS".
◇Last week's results
"WAKE:WOKE/BURN:BORN," which topped the charts, was released on March 11th and reached number one in its third week of release. It was released in two versions: a Guilty Kiss version and a Saint Snow version, both of which include two new songs by "GKSS." The Guilty Kiss version includes a new song by "Guilty Kiss," and the Saint Snow version includes a new song by "Saint Snow."
Coming in at second place is the original soundtrack CD for "Galaxy Express Milky☆Subway," which also has a popular theatrical anime film adaptation. In addition to the anime's background music, it includes songs such as "Tokimeki★Meteor Strike," sung by Minami Minase, voiced by Yukari Tamura.
In third place was "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION BATTLE OF THE@TER EX03 FAITH/TO/FAITH," which features songs from in-game events of the popular game "THE IDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! THEATER DAYS (Mirishita)," and in fourth place was "Detective Precure! Theme Song Single," which contains the theme song for "Detective Precure!".
Coming in at number 8 is the original soundtrack CD for the " Hashira Training Arc " of " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba ," titled " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Yaiba Hashira Training Arc Original Soundtrack," and at number 9 is the soundtrack CD for the first season of the TV anime " Frieren: Beyond Journey's End End," titled "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Original Soundtrack," featuring soundtracks from popular works. Also ranking at number 9 is the third mini-album "EGU DOUCHU" by voice actor and singer Takuya Eguchi.
