TBS announcer Kyoko Nango's new column began in the May issue of the magazine "BLT" (Tokyo News Service), which went on sale March 27th.
Nango, affectionately known as "Nango-chan," is in her third year at the company and is in charge of flagship programs for the station, such as the morning information program "THE TIME," and "King's Brunch." She ranked 7th in last year's "Favorite Female Announcer Ranking" (according to Oricon), and her future success is highly anticipated.
The title of the series is "Nango-chan Next Door." The title was chosen because the intention is to show the real Nango-san, the kind of person she only shows to people who are close to her. The series will capture glimpses of Nango-san's less-than-perfect image, which is usually calm and composed, and will be published along with her own writing. In the first installment, at her request, she visits a dog cafe where she can interact with large dogs. The series will also reveal how Nango-san's reactions change completely in response to the big dogs' every move.

I was very surprised when I was offered the opportunity to write a series, but as someone who is a little shy about sharing my own thoughts and feelings, I am very grateful and feel very fortunate to have been given this opportunity.
I still feel a bit awkward, but as I work with everyone at BLT to come up with the title and content, I'm getting more and more excited about the possibility of expanding and deepening my passions in my own way.
Although this is a different approach from my usual work of photography and writing, I will do my best to ensure that everyone who picks it up enjoys it!
