Nippon Television's morning information program "ZIP!" (Monday-Friday, 5:50 AM - 9:00 AM, except in some regions) will be revamped starting March 30th with the concept of "A fun morning where you can find what you want to watch." New personalities and a new logo have been announced.
The Monday personality will be actress Asaka Seto. Seto said, "I look forward to working with you all from spring onwards! I'm really nervous and excited, but as a member of 'ZIP!', I will do my best to bring smiles to everyone's faces with a big smile!"
The Tuesday personality will be Dai Okabe from the comedy trio "Hanako." He said with conviction, "My strong point is my energy, so I will do my best to be bright and cheerful! I hope to become a familiar face on Tuesdays for everyone! I hope you will tune in every Tuesday morning from now on!"
Actor Junki Tozuka will be the Wednesday personality for a limited time from April to June. Totsuka said, "Wednesday is the middle of the week. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Starting in April, I will deliver a great morning. I will not forget to keep a fresh feeling, have fun, and cherish each moment. I look forward to your support from now on."
The Thursday personality will be Kenjiro Yamashita of "Third Generation J SOUL BROTHERS," who currently hosts the Tuesday show. He has been the Tuesday personality for "ZIP!" since 2018, but with the renewal, he will be taking on the Thursday role. "I'm personally looking forward to moving to the Thursday personality role and being able to deliver a new morning! The charm of 'ZIP!' is that you can enjoy watching it from Monday to Friday, so I will bring out the unique color and appeal of Thursday and deliver a show that will make everyone have a better day," he commented.
The Friday personality will continue to be Ryohei Abe of the popular group "Snow Man". While active as a member of the popular group, he is also known as an "intellectual" who has completed his studies at the Graduate School of Science and Engineering of Sophia University and passed the weather forecaster exam and the World Heritage Certification Level 1 exam, and is attracting attention for his activities that make use of his extensive knowledge. "It's Friday morning, the start of the weekend, so I think many people are already happy, but I would like to liven up Friday mornings to make that happy morning even more certain!" he said enthusiastically.
Main host Asami Miura commented, "Thank you so much to everyone who has watched 'ZIP!' even for just a day or a second. To those of you who have never watched it, I would be happy if you could remember 'ZIP!' even for a little while during your mornings from now on...! We will cherish what we have built up so far, and the entire program team will strive to make 'ZIP!' better today than yesterday, and better tomorrow than today. Thank you for your continued support!"
The new program logo features a gentle, hand-drawn style, with the "Z" in "ZIP!" adorned with eyes and a mouth, evolving into a cute character. Based on the traditional light blue and pink colors, yellow has been added to express a fresh and bright atmosphere.
