TV Tokyo's popular information variety program, "Shutsugen! Admatic Tengoku" (Saturdays at 9 PM), will feature Ochanomizu in Tokyo in its March 21st broadcast.
The large area centered around JR Ochanomizu Station is known as "Ochanomizu" and is famous as one of the world's leading districts for musical instruments and sporting goods. It is also known as one of Japan's largest student towns, and there are many cheap and delicious student restaurants.
The program will feature traditional high-calorie student meals! Calorie-grilled food; famous pudding and dry curry from the school cafeteria; waterless curry that won the grand prize in the fiercely competitive triangle area; a famous jazz cafe that has been revived! Its famous "red curry"; and "tsukemen" (dipping noodles) from a former French chef, among other things.
Furthermore, the magazine will cover topics such as the town's focus on books and publishing, the monthly magazine "Sanpo no Tatsujin" (Walking Expert), the relocation of a popular miniature toy manufacturer's headquarters, and a dojo working on community development.
The guests were entertainer Yuji Miyake and model Saya Ichikawa.
