It has been revealed that Nippon Television announcer Ishikawa Minami will be the Caster of the station's news program "The Truth Report Bankisha!" (Sundays at 6pm) from March 29th. From that day, Caster Masu Caster and Ishikawa will take over, with Watanabe Yui taking over the news segment, and current Caster Arisa Goro will be graduating. Caster sent her encouragement, saying, "I'm confident that she will take on the baton of trust and kindness that Goro has built, and will perform in the way that Ishikawa has."
"Bankisha!" will undergo a renewal in April, along with the appointment of Ishikawa as Caster, and the program's logo and characters will also be renewed. The dog-themed program character "Ban-ken" will be joined by a cat as an assistant.
Caster, 29, was born in Hiroshima Prefecture and joined the company in 2020. He has previously hosted shows such as "Zero One" and "High School Quiz," and has previously appeared alongside Caster on "ZIP!". "As someone who was born and raised in Hiroshima, I would like to cover people's thoughts and activities for peace. I will be sharing this information with Masu, who taught me the basics of being an announcer during my first year at the company and on "ZIP!"," he commented.
Caster Masu said, "Ishikawa was my last student on ZIP!, but since then he has gained many wonderful experiences, from High School Quiz to the Hakone Ekiden, and has grown so much that I'm really relieved that he's now coming to Bankisha!"
