It has been announced that the performance by rock band HOUND DOG to be held at the Nippon Seinenkan Hall (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) on March 8th will be broadcast and streamed exclusively on WOWOW in May.
Vocalist Kohei Otomo celebrated his 70th birthday on January 1st of this year. To commemorate this, the band will be holding a live tour called "HOUND DOG LIVE 2026 ROLLING 70 "ROCK'N'ROLL GOES ON"" in March and April, with a total of five performances in three locations: Tokyo, Osaka, and Otomo's hometown of Miyagi.
The venue for the Tokyo performance, which will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW, is the Nippon Seinenkan Hall, which thrilled fans with HOUND DOG's 45th anniversary live concert in 2025.
In January 2024, a tumor was discovered in Otomo's kidney, causing the cancellation of a planned tour in March. Following successful surgery, Otomo returned to the stage in May of the same year. The title of this tour, "ROLLING 70," refers to Otomo himself turning 70, and "ROCK'N'ROLL GOES ON" is a declaration of his determination that "this is not the end, we will keep on rolling."
