The visual for the final chapter of the TV anime "Golden Kamuy," based on Satoru Noda's manga, "Tokyo Love Story," has been released. Episode 57, "Tokyo Love Story," will air on TOKYO MX and other channels on February 23rd.
In episode 57, "Tokyo Love Story," Sugimoto, dozing off on a train, dreams of meeting Kikuta. Shortly after arriving in Tokyo from his hometown, Sugimoto gets into a fight with some army officer candidates, and Kikuta, who was then training the candidates in the First Division, steps in to stop them. Kikuta invites Sugimoto to dinner and asks him to act as a substitute for Hanzawa Yusaku, the son of the Seventh Division commander, in an arranged marriage meeting. The arranged marriage, with Kaneko Hanaeko, the daughter of a wealthy family, was orchestrated by Yusaku's mother for a specific reason.
"Golden Kamuy" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) from 2014 to 2022. It depicts the story of "Immortal Sugimoto," a former hero of the Russo-Japanese War, who discovers clues to buried treasure hidden by a death row inmate in Hokkaido and embarks on an adventure with Ainu girls. The series has sold over 30 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2018, the second from October to December of the same year, and the third from October to December 2020. The fourth season began airing in October 2022, was on hiatus from November, but resumed in April 2023 and aired until June of the same year. The final season is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
