The e-book store Comic Seymour (NTT Solmare) has released a ranking of their "Favorite Villain Characters," with Vermouth from Detective Conan (Shogakukan) taking the top spot. The ranking focuses on the appeal of heels, and is in honor of Pro Wrestling Day on February 19th. The survey was conducted between December 18th and 22nd, 2025, with 6,077 valid responses. Vermouth received 2,805 votes, taking the top spot.
Second place went to Naraku from "Inuyasha" (Shogakukan) (1,513 votes), and third place went to Envy from "Fullmetal Alchemist" (Square Enix) (1,073 votes).
Others who received votes included Griffith from "Berserk" (Hakusensha), Hanma Yujiro from "Grappler Baki" (Akita Shoten), and Hogen from "Ginga Densetsu Weed" (Nihon Bungeisha).
Comic Seymour has launched a campaign targeting works featuring characters ranked 1st to 3rd. In addition to being able to read one or more volumes of the comic for free, they will also be giving away coupons for 20% off three volumes of the comic (excluding new releases). The campaign runs until February 25th.
