"Tokyo PD: Metropolitan Police Department Public Relations Division 2" is a socially conscious police drama with a completely original story. It depicts the pride and dignity, conflicts and struggles between the Metropolitan Police Department's public relations department and the detectives on the scene. Imaizumi Rintaro (played by Fukushi) was supposed to be assigned to the First Investigation Division for certain reasons, but ends up being sent to the Second Public Relations Division. Also appearing in the series are Ogata Naoto, Yoshikawa Ai, Masana Bokuzo, Takezai Terunosuke, and Ota Rina.
Episode 4 was broadcast under the title "Anonymous Reporting...The Name of the Missing Victim and the Laughing Perpetrator."
The coverage died down due to the change to anonymous reporting, but the number of reports on the case dropped dramatically. Meanwhile, time passed without the culprit being charged with murder, but Imaizumi (played by Fukushi) took action...
