On February 3rd, a "great treasure that tells the story of the birth of Uniqlo" will be featured on the variety show "Kaiun! Nandemo Kanteidan" (TV Tokyo, Tuesdays 8:54pm), hosted by entertainer Imada Koji, freelance announcer Fukuzawa Akira, and former Sakurazaka46 member Sugai Yuuka.
The treasure is a rare Uniqlo item that the client got for free in 1984 when he was a first-year high school student. At the time, the first Uniqlo store was opening in Hiroshima City, and raffle tickets were being distributed near the school to win a commemorative T-shirt. Wanting it badly, he begged his friends and seniors to help him collect around 300 tickets, and went to the store on the day of its opening. He won the raffle, and kept the T-shirt unused.
The preview also shows the studio becoming noisy as Fukuzawa says, "You'll get a call from Uniqlo after the broadcast," and Imada says to the client, "Maybe you brought something dangerous." What will the appraisal result be...?
