The TBS drama "Mirai no Musuko" (Tuesdays at 10pm) starring actress Shida Mirai has released the synopsis and stills for the second episode, which will air on January 20th.
Mirai (Shida) has decided to accept Souta (Amano Yu) as her own child and live with him, but she is worried about whether she will be able to raise Souta, given her busy schedule of theater rehearsals and a part-time job.
In the future, Souta is taken in by Saori (Nishino Nanase) under the pretense that he is a relative's child. Souta then confesses to Saori, "I'm from the future!"
Mirai is chosen to play the lead role in the theater company's next performance. Since she can't find a way to send Souta back to the future world, she decides she has no choice but to continue living this way, and rushes to find a nursery school for Souta. After hearing from Souta that in the future he attended the nearby Yoshizumi Nursery School, she decides to visit it.
The director, Yoshizumi (Makita Sports), is a fun-loving person, and the future looks promising. But just when she thinks she's being looked at with suspicion and asked, "Are you really the mother?", she is chased away...
Based on the popular manga "My Future Son: A Son Came Down From Heaven!" written by Kumiko Aso and illustrated by Hajime Kuromugi, the story follows a woman who is half-hearted in love, work, and dreams, and suddenly becomes a mother. Through raising a child, she learns about living with others and supporting each other, and begins to live life anew.
