On January 14th, actress Matsumoto Honoka attended a press conference in Tokyo for the drama "50 Minute Lover" (ABC TV/TV Asahi, Sundays 10:15pm), which starts on the 18th, along with her co-stars Hey! Say! JUMP's Kei Inoo and Oideyasu Oda.
This work is a romantic comedy about a mismatched couple: an eccentric handsome man whose only friend is an AI and a down-to-earth woman who is obsessed with her work. They enter into a strange contract and spend 50 minutes together during their lunch break. Matsumoto plays Naho Karashima, a hardworking game character designer, and Inoo plays Haru Amami, a genius game creator whose only friend is an AI.
At the press conference, all the speakers were asked to choose "Haru or Naho" as the person they felt most like. Matsumoto answered "Haru" and revealed that "it's because I don't have many friends (lol)." When Oda retorted, "That makes me sad (lol)!", Matsumoto explained, "Because I prefer to be alone."
