It has been announced that singer-songwriter Tatsuya Kitani and metal dance unit BABYMETAL will be performing the opening theme "Kasuka na Hana" for the second season of the TV anime " Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku ," based on the manga by Kaku Yuji that was serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump + (Plus)." Kitani wrote the lyrics and composed the song, which he will sing together with BABYMETAL. The second promotional video featuring the song has been released.
Kitani says, "A flower is someone who has the strength to take root in the soil and the weakness to sway in the wind, and who is unfazed by anything and exists as it should. A person who accepts doubt and realizes himself as he lives with doubt. This way of being, which embodies the way uncertainty and uncertainty blooms, is modest yet dignified, and is an ideal form. I wrote a song filled with my admiration for such a 'faint flower'."
BABYMETAL commented, "We usually collaborate with metal bands, but we're really happy that our collaboration with Tatsuya Kitani has brought out a new side of BABYMETAL. When we heard this song, we felt like the gracefully blooming flower taught us the preciousness and beauty of "our existence." Following on from the first season, Junichi Suwabe and Yuko Kaida, who play the seven celestial immortals, have commented. Suwabe said, "Season 2 is about to begin. The celestial immortals are still alive and well. They will continue to gather together and talk! For the actors, this is truly ' Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku' (laughs). A life-threatening battle unfolds in a world of brilliant color. Don't miss it!"
Kaida said, "The second season of ' Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku' has finally begun. Visuals of two of the heavenly immortals, Kikuka and Momoka, in new outfits have been released.
In preparation for the second season, all episodes of the original manga will be available for free on "Shonen Jump+" for one week only, from December 20th to 26th.
"Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku" was serialized in "Shonen Jump+" from January 2018 to January 2021. Set in the late Edo period, the story follows the strongest ninja, Gamimaru, who is betrayed by his comrades and taken prisoner. In order to be reunited with his beloved wife, he fights against monsters in search of the elixir of immortality in order to be freed.
The anime will be directed by Kaori Makita and produced by MAPPA. Chiaki Kobayashi will play the main character, Gabimaru. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2023. The second season will air on TV Tokyo and other channels from January 11, 2026, every Sunday at 11:45 PM.
