Shingo wants to take both Iroha (played by Aoi Ikemura), who turns out to be his biological daughter through DNA testing, and Mamie's (played by Kawaei) company, RAINBOWLAB. He offers to let Mamie keep all her employees at RAINBOWLAB and have her expulsion revoked if she hands over custody of Iroha immediately, but Mamie refuses.
At an emergency information session at Ryuwa Academy, Shingo thoroughly cornered Kaoru (Haru) and Maika. However, after a direct appeal from Iroha's classmates and Sasaki (Aoi Nakamura), Iroha's expulsion was revoked.
Later, Mitsuhashi Foods received a report that there had been an unusual transfer of funds to acquire RAINBOWLAB, and Shingo was dismissed from his position as president. Shocked, Shingo took some time off work to spend time with his family.
At the end, when Keigo (Takashima Ryunosuke) confesses that he wants to become a soccer player in the future, Shingo calmly cheers him on, saying, "That's great."
