To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast of "Love Hina," a comedy manga about a rabbi by Ken Akamatsu that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), in 2025, the original soundtrack and vocal album have been released for the first time on subscription services. They began streaming worldwide on various music streaming services on December 10th. It was also announced that the anime will be available for a limited time on KING AMUSEMENT CREATIVE's YouTube channel. All 24 episodes of the TV series and the TV special will be released for free from 8:00 PM on December 12th to 7:59 PM on January 4th, 2026.
Yui Horie, who plays the main character, Narusegawa Naru, commented, "Five original CD titles from 'Love Hina' are now available on subscription services! On the contrary, they weren't available until now (laughs). I hope that the charm of the series and its characters will be conveyed through the songs. I would be delighted if you would take this opportunity to listen to them."
The original author, Akamatsu, said, "It's been 25 years since the anime Love Hina aired, and five original CD titles have been released for subscription. All of them are favorites of the author, and he often listened to them while writing manuscripts. For those who loved Hinata-sou back then, let's listen together!"
"Love Hina" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" from 1998 to 2001. Set in the girls' dormitory Hinata-so, the story depicts the daily lives of a group of beautiful girls with unique personalities, including Urashima Keitaro, a shy student aiming to get into Tokyo University, and Narusegawa Naru, a slightly clumsy honor student who is always picking on Keitaro. An anime TV series aired in 2000.
