It was revealed on December 8th that the average weekly viewership rating ( Asadora Bakebake " (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8am and others), starring Takaishi Akari, was 15.8% (calculated from Video Research, Kanto region), the highest rating for the show.
" Bakebake" is the 113th morning Asadora. Based on the story of Yakumo Koizumi(Lafcadio Hearn) and his wife Setsu, the story follows a couple, with a love of ghost stories, as they go about their everyday lives together with their foreign husband. Takaishi plays the main character, Toki Matsuno, while Tommy Bastow plays Toki's husband, Lefkada Heaven.
In the 10th week, winter arrives in Matsue. Toki (Takaishi) nurses Heaven (Tommy Bastow), who has fallen ill from the cold of winter for the first time.
Meanwhile, Heaven's student Kotani (Kyōhei Shimokawa) comes to visit her, but for some reason he only talks to Toki. He seems to have feelings for Toki, but Toki doesn't notice. Sawa (Wan Marui), who found out about Kotani's feelings before Toki did, and her family secretly support Kotani's love.
Heaven eventually recovers safely. Meanwhile, Toki is invited by Kotani to a rendezvous, and the two decide to go out together. Kotani takes Toki to Seikoin Temple, a famous ghost story spot, and before they know it, Toki is leading Kotani.
The moment finally comes for Kotani to tell Toki how he feels. However, the words that come out of Kotani's mouth are "I'm sorry"... and so on.
