The second "true" promotional video and second key visual (Night ver.) for the TV anime adaptation of "Fate/strange Fake," a light novel from the popular "Fate" series that includes games and anime, have been released. The promotional video features the ending theme "Potential Ai" by the band "13.3g," and reveals characters not yet appearing in the main story. The second key visual (Night ver.) depicts a nighttime setting, contrasting with the daytime setting of the first key visual (Day ver.).
The work is a light novel by Narita Ryogo, known for "Baccano!" and "Durarara!!," and is published by Dengeki Bunko (KADOKAWA). The story is set after the end of the Fifth Holy Grail War in Japan, when signs of a new Holy Grail are observed in a snowy field in the western United States. The prologue to the TV anime series, "Fate/Strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn-," aired on TOKYO MX and other channels in July 2023.
The TV anime series will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from January 3, 2026. It has also been announced that the first episode will feature an audio commentary by directors Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume, as well as Kana Hanazawa, who plays Ayaka Sajo.
