The ninth episode of the TBS Tuesday drama "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It" (Tuesdays at 10 PM), starring Kaho and Ryoma Takeuchi, aired on December 2nd. A comment made by Katsuo Ebihara (played by Takeuchi), who is currently on suspension from his company due to a power harassment scandal, became a hot topic on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers
Katsuo is suspended from work after being accused of harassing Yanagisawa (Hamao Noritaka) in the Business Strategy Department. While spending the day alone, he drops his smartphone underneath a vending machine. When he tries to pick it up, his arm gets caught in the machine, leaving him unable to move. In a manga-like incident, Ayumi (Kaho) happens to be passing by and helps him out, and he is saved.
Afterwards, Katsuo spent time with Ayumi. The two enjoyed beer and grilled offal at an izakaya. "Eating delicious food doesn't make the bad things go away, but when I can think that it's delicious like this, I can still feel like everything's okay," Katsuo said with a smile, and Ayumi nodded in agreement.
On social media, people were excited, saying things like, "It's not 'Eat something delicious and forget the things you don't like,' but 'Eating something delicious won't make the things you don't like go away, but as long as you think it's delicious, it's still okay' - and it's so true!", "These words came out of nowhere and for some reason I started crying," "As long as you can eat something delicious and laugh, you'll be okay. That might be true," "Those words stayed with me," and "'If you think it's delicious, then you can still think it's okay' is a really important thing. The positive warmth of this drama makes me want to keep trying."
