It has been announced that the Mobile Police Patlabor OVA (original video animation), "Mobile Police Patlabor Early Days," will be screened at the 1st Aichi-Nagoya International Animation Film Festival (ANIAFF), an international anime film festival. The film will be screened under the theme "The Appeal of the Series" in the New Wave section. The festival will be held in Nagoya from December 12th to 17th.
The New Wave section's theme, "Crossing Borders Culture," will include "Eu e Meu Avo Nihonjin," in which a Japanese-Brazilian boy with roots in Japan traces his family history; "Path to the Peak," which depicts a girl's growth through her encounter with Pokémon cards, which are also popular in Japan; and the sequel to "Obocchama-kun," which was produced in India. Under the theme of "Challenging New Expressions," the lineup will include "Generaidoscope," "BLAME!," and "Go Beyond the Tracks."
It was also revealed that Kenji Iwaizawa, director of "100 Meters Kiyoshi Hirose, editor of "Dandadan" and "Lookback," was selected for the Yuri Award. PAWORKS was selected for the Hananoki Award, the studio award.
