To commemorate the broadcast of episode 9 of the TV anime "Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai," based on the manga by Yokusaru Shibata, known for works such as "Hachi-One Diver," episode 51 of the special effects drama "Kamen Rider V3," "Rider No. 4 is You!!," has begun streaming on Toei Tokusatsu's Official YouTube channel. Episode 9 depicts a life-or-death battle between Shimamura Ichiyo, who is transforming into Kamen Rider V3, and Shimamura Mitsuha, who aspires to be Riderman, and features an animated scene from episode 51 of "Kamen Rider V3," "Rider No. 4 is You!!."
The jacket for the first volume of the Blu-ray Disc and DVD, which will be released on February 25, 2026, has also been revealed. It features the main character, Higashijima Tanzaburou, and comes in a "transformation" clear case. By attaching the transparent case with the Kamen Rider No. 1 mask on it to the digital jacket, the character can transform. The special edition comes with an original T-shirt. Lay-Up, known for the "SD Gundam" series, has created a design featuring the deformed characters Higashijima Tanzaburou, Okada Yuriko, Shimamura Kazuha, Shimamura Mitsuha, Yukaris, and Nakao Hachiro.
The series began serialization in Monthly Heroes (Heroes, currently out of print) in 2018, and is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site Comiplex (same publisher). The story follows Higashijima Tanzaburou, who at the age of 40 is still serious about becoming Kamen Rider, but just as he is about to give up on his dream, he gets caught up in a fake Shocker robbery that causes a stir in the world. Ishimori Productions and Toei are collaborating.
The anime is directed by Ikezoe Takahiro and series composition is by Machida Doko. It is produced by Liden Films. In addition to Katsuyuki Konishi as Higashijima Tanzaburo, the cast also includes Ai Kayano as Okada Yuriko, Kenichi Suzumura as Shimamura Ichiyo, Soma Saito Soma as Shimamura Mitsuha, Fairouz Ai as Yukaris, and Kenjiro Tsuda. It is currently airing on TOKYO MX and other channels.
