A special edition of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan," which aired its final episode in September, will be rebroadcast on NHK General TV from 5:00 PM on November 24th. The special edition will consist of four episodes, including four spin-off dramas that tell stories not depicted in the main series, as well as conversations and roundtable discussions with the cast.
"Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). Kentaro and the cafe manager (Nishimura Takemasa) are planning to propose to Meiko (Nanoka Hara) before her birthday party. Ranko (Yuumi Kawai Yumi), who arrives earlier than planned, becomes anxious when she hears his plan. Furthermore, Nobu (Mio Imada) and Takashi (Takumi Kitamura) also arrive before Meiko, leaving Kentaro flustered by the unexpected turn of events. What will become of this once-in-a-lifetime proposal plan?
The second episode, "Meiko's First Stage," features Meiko as the main character. Just then, Taka comes over and hands him the lyrics, saying he has come up with some great lyrics. Takuya reads them and smiles. Eisuke is surprised, wondering how Takuya can come up with such lyrics. Takuya begins composing a song, and the resulting song is...
The fourth episode, "What We Inherit," features Nakao Hoshiko (Furukawa Kotone). When Hoshiko comes out of Takashi's workroom, she is relieved of the tension. Nobu (Mio Imada) asks Hoshiko to take care of Takashi. He then tells her that the doctor has given him a diagnosis, and that the only thing he regrets is Takashi. Meanwhile, when Hoshiko sees Takashi's first drawing of Uncle Anpanman, her eyes well up with emotion...
