The eighth episode of the sixth series of the TV anime "Kingdom," based on the popular manga by Hara Yasuhisa, titled "The Beginning," will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 12:10 a.m. on November 22nd.
The Qin allied forces finally reach Gyō, the second largest city in the Zhao Kingdom. Here, Wang Jian's forces, having split with Kanki and Yang Duanhe's forces, head to the Zhuhai Plain with the Hi Shin Unit, Rakuka Unit, and Gyokuhō Unit to confront the Zhao forces led by Li Mu. The battle begins with a clash between the 5,000-man Rakuka Unit and the 30,000-man Zhao army led by Ki Sui, lord of Rigan Castle. Undeterred by the overwhelming difference in military strength, Meng Tian swiftly leads his troops into the enemy camp.
"Kingdom" is a popular manga that has been serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) since 2006. Set in the Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States Period of China, it depicts the exploits of Shin, who aims to become the greatest general in the world, and the drama of heroes such as King Ei Sei of Qin, who later becomes known as the First Emperor. The total number of copies of the comics published has exceeded 110 million. The sixth series of the TV anime is broadcast every Saturday night on NHK General TV.
