Singer-songwriter Taeko Onuki held a concert to celebrate her 50th anniversary since her debut, "Celebrating 50 Years," at Showa Women's University Hitomi Memorial Hall (Setagaya Ward, Tokyo) on November 22nd. It has been announced that the concert will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in January 2026.
Onuki began his professional career as a musician in 1975 as a member of the legendary band Sugar Babe. Since 2020, he has been performing his annual end-of-year concert at Hitomi Memorial Hall.
This will be a one-night-only 50th anniversary concert, featuring regular band members as well as guest appearances by Chris Parker, Yoshiyuki Sahashi, Hanaregumi, and Ichiko Aoba. Onuki will also perform overseas for the first time in February 2026 in Los Angeles.
