The sixth episode of the drama series "Good Things and Bad Things" (NTV, Saturdays at 9 PM), starring actors Mamiya Shotaro and Araki Yuko, aired on November 15th. A certain truth about Kobayashi Saki (Fujima Sawako), a former classmate and class representative of Takagi (Mamiya), was revealed, and the subsequent developments caused a stir.

As Takagi and Sonoko (played by Araki) work hard to uncover the truth behind a series of murders, the situation takes a sudden turn. A rival magazine to Weekly Apollo, where Sonoko works, features a shocking headline: "Beautiful Reporter Saruhashi Sonoko Suspected of Being a Serial Killer!?" The article makes it seem as if Sonoko is the culprit behind the suspicious deaths of her classmates, with whom she had a feud. Sonoko is viewed with suspicion by the public and receives fierce criticism.
With nowhere to go, Sonoko takes refuge with Kobayashi, the class president. Worried about Sonoko and outraged as if it were his own fault, Kobayashi urges her to publish a rebuttal article and tell the truth, but Takagi and Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) will be the next targets of attack. Neither Takagi's family nor Koyama's company will get away with it... After being persuaded by Kobayashi, Sonoko makes up her mind, but says she will not write a rebuttal article.
Later, Shinonome (Mai Fukagawa) summons Takagi and the others to the snack bar Imakuni and tells them that Kobayashi had provided information to the former editor-in-chief of Weekly Apollo, who had written the slanderous article about Sonoko. Meanwhile, Sonoko is accompanied by Kobayashi to visit the grave of his younger brother.
As the rain falls, Kobayashi confesses that his younger brother committed suicide after an article Sonoko wrote about drug allegations against the university soccer team. Sonoko explains that she simply wrote the article, to which Kobayashi lashes out angrily, saying, "You're the perpetrator," and "It's all your fault!"
He then pulls out a knife and says, "I will do the right thing," but the faces of Takagi and the others come to mind and he is unable to resist, so he breaks down in tears in the rain. Takagi rushes to the scene, approaches the crying Kobayashi, and gently places an umbrella over his head.
At the beginning of the episode, Kobayashi, who had a crush on Takagi in elementary school, is shown with a complicated expression on her face as she looks at a graffiti of a shared umbrella of "Takagi & Sonoko." The scene where Kobayashi breaks down in tears and Takagi shares the same umbrella became a hot topic on social media. Comments included, "They share an umbrella here..." "The class president is so heartbreaking," "The foreshadowing of the shared umbrella is so touching," "The shared umbrella scene was well-directed..." and "I can't believe I got to share an umbrella with King like that."
