It has been announced that a special exhibition of Toriyama's precious color original drawings will be held at the "Dragon Ball Genkida Matsuri" event, which commemorates the 40th anniversary of the popular manga "Dragon Ball" by the late Akira Toriyama. The event will be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama Ward, Chiba City) on January 25, 2026.
The advance lottery sales items for the event include a completely new figure, "Dragon Ball Super SUPER MASTER STARS PIECE THE SON GOKU ULTRA INSTINCT -GENKIDAMATSURI SPECIAL ver.-", a special reprint of a product released in 2016, "Dragon Ball Super SUPER MASTER STARS PIECE THE SON GOKU -GENKIDAMATSURI SPECIAL ver.-", and a special reprint of a product released in 2017, "Dragon Ball Super SUPER MASTER STARS PIECE THE VEGETA -GENKIDAMATSURI SPECIAL ver.-". Winners of the first and second rounds of Genkida Matsuri admission tickets will be able to apply for the advance lottery sales for the event.
The figure "SHFiguarts Super Saiyan Son Goku - Legendary Super Saiyan - Genkida Matsuri Edition" will also be sold as a pre-sale item at the event.
