It has been announced that "Kamen Rider Vlam Root Stomach," a spin-off of the special effects drama "Kamen Rider Gavv" (TV Asahi), which aired its final episode in August, will be released on the app service "Toei Special Effects Fan Club (TTFC)" this winter. The story centers around Kamen Rider Vlam/Lage 9 (Rakia Amarga), played by Kohei Shoji, and depicts an "if" route different from the TV series.
In the TV series, Rakia attacks humans as a part-timer at Stomach under the code name Lage 9 in search of the murderer of his younger brother Komeru. He later leaves Stomach and joins forces with Kamen Rider Gavv/Shoma (Hidekazu Chinen) and others, working together to protect the human world.
This work will unfold a different story route from the TV series. A trailer has also been released, revealing the appearance of Shoma, Nielve Stomach (Ryo Takizawa), Grotta Stomach (Machi Chitose), and Sanga Kenzo (Shintaro Asanuma). Director Satoshi Morota, who was in charge of the final episode of the TV series, will be directing the film, and the script will be written by Mari Takura, who has worked on TTFC original works such as "Gavtto Anime! Sweety Days ~Strange Everyday Life~" and "Gojuuja Hojuu Project Number One At a Confessional."
The theme song will be "Aray of Light," a character song for Rakia Amarga, sung by Shoji, and the insert song will be a newly announced duet song, "Bitter Poison," sung by Shoji and Takizawa.
