Actress Yukiko Kashiwagi will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will air on October 20th at 1:00 PM. It's been 40 years since her husband, Kyu Sakamoto, died in the Japan Airlines crash. She says she was interviewed by many people over the summer. While it's something she'll never forget, she says that many of the people who came to interview her were from the generation born after the accident, making her feel the passage of time.
Before the accident, Kashiwagi and Sakamoto, who loved making things, made and sold bags together. They shared ideas and the resulting bag remains a fond memory. After that, they made a second batch and gave a sample to Kuroyanagi, but the accident occurred during the preparations, and Kashiwagi's dream was left untouched for 40 years. She says that recently she has been thinking about resuming the project after a long time.
