A new visual for the FINAL SEASON, the eighth and final season of the TV anime series " My Hero Academia, " based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released: "Bakugo vs. All For One." Behind All For One, who looks frustrated, Katsuki Bakugo appears, flying in with a confident expression. The new visual was released ahead of episode 4, "Quirk!! Explosion!!," which will air on October 25th and feature Bakugo clashing with All For One.
In the third episode, "Last Boss!!," which aired on October 18th, Bakugo, who was defeated by the villain Tomura Shigaraki in the seventh season of the previous series, is revived, and together with Deku, he rescues All Might, who was about to be torn apart by All For One, just in time. After that, the story moves into a battle with All For One.
Following Bakugo's return, the opening video was updated from episode 3. A new version, "Type-2," has been released, with Bakugo joining the video, and a creditless version of the opening video has been released on YouTube. While the opening scene featured only Deku and All Might, a new image of Bakugo standing there has been added, and the chorus depicts a fierce battle scene involving Bakugo.
It was also announced that "Bakugo TV 2025," featuring Nobuhiko Okamoto, who plays Bakugo, will be streamed live on YouTube on October 25th, in conjunction with the broadcast of episode 4, "Quirk!! Explosion!!." Part 1 will be streamed from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM before the TV anime broadcast, and part 2 will be streamed from 6:00 PM.
"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural powers and quirks, the series follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2016, the second from March to September 2017, the third from April to September 2018, the fourth from October 2019 to April 2020, the fifth from March to September 2021, the sixth from October 2022 to March 2023, and the seventh from May to October 2024. The "FINAL SEASON" is currently airing every Saturday at 5:30 pm on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV.
