A creditless version of the ending (opening) video for the eighth and final season of the TV anime series " My Hero Academia, " based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released on YouTube. The video depicts the growth of a young boy, Deku, into a kind and strong hero through his encounters with All Might and his classmates in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, while the ending theme "I" by the band "BUMP OF CHICKEN" plays.
The ending theme, "I," will be released on October 15th. The album jacket, featuring Deku with a terrifying expression, has been released. The band Porno Graffitti will be performing the opening theme, "THE REVO," for "FINAL SEASON."
"My Hero Academia" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from July 2014 to August 2024. Set in a world where approximately 80% of the population possesses supernatural powers and quirks, the series follows Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, as he strives to become the greatest hero. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2016, the second from March to September 2017, the third from April to September 2018, the fourth from October 2019 to April 2020, the fifth from March to September 2021, the sixth from October 2022 to March 2023, and the seventh from May to October 2024. The "FINAL SEASON" is currently airing every Saturday at 5:30 pm on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV.
