Voice actors Maaya Uchida and Kaito Ishikawa appeared at the Japan premiere of the film "Tron: Ares" (directed by Joachim Rønning, simultaneous release in Japan and the US on October Getsuku) held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) on October 9th. This was the couple's first public appearance together since announcing their marriage on September 30th. When the host congratulated them at the start of the event, the couple smiled and said, "Thank you."
In the Japanese dubbed version of the film, Uchida voices Eve, who holds the key to the story, while Ishikawa voices Julian Dillinger, the developer of Ares who is after Eve. Ishikawa greeted the audience by saying, "In the film, we are enemies, but we get along well." When Junichi Suwabe, who plays the protagonist, the AI soldier Ares, said, "This is your first time working together," Uchida and Ishikawa looked very embarrassed.
The event featured Tamura Mutsumi, who plays the AI soldier Athena, as well as guests Natsu Ando, Akane Hotta, and Dandy Sakano from the comedy duo Maple Chogokin.
