TBS's large-scale special program "All-Star Thanksgiving '25 Autumn," hosted by Imada Koji and Shimazaki Wakako, will be broadcast live from 6:30 PM on October 4th. Akasaki Akira won the popular "Akasaka 5-Chome Mini Marathon." Moriwaki Kenji, who underwent knee surgery in April and returned after a period of rehabilitation, also participated. He finished the race with four laps remaining, but showed a passionate run.
This year's course is the longest ever, at 4.9km. Akasaki, who placed 6th at the Paris Olympics and achieved the remarkable feat of tying the all-time record for a Japanese runner with a 2nd place finish at the Berlin Marathon in September, will be taking part for the first time. Other participants include former Japanese national soccer team member Yoichiro Kakitani, Jeong Dae-se, nicknamed the "human bulldozer," Waka Kazami of "Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku," who made a big breakaway last time to overtake Hiroshi Neko and finish in 7th place, and Riko Iwamoto of "The Blue Sky I Wanted to See."
NMB48's Sakashita Magoko held the lead until the third lap, but on the fourth lap, Masahisa from aoen overtook him. Akasaki, who was 8 minutes 15 seconds behind from the start, made a fierce chase and finally overtook him at the start of the final, heart-breaking slope. Following Masahisa in third place was EIKI from MAZZEL, Harry Sugiyama in fourth place, and Neko Hiroshi in fifth place.
