The second special episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan ," starring Mio Imada , titled "Meiko's First Stage," will be broadcast on NHK General TV from 11:00 PM on September 30th. Nanoka Hara, who played the main character Meiko, reflected, "During filming, there were many comical scenes that made me laugh, and it was a really fun time."
"Anpan" is based on the married Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). The series depicts how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of troubles to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice," and aired its final episode on the 26th.
"Meiko's First Stage" is set on the opening day of the musical "Anpanman." As the show approaches, several problems have arisen backstage. Staff member Meiko (played by Hara) learns about the situation from the bewildered Takuya (played by Motoki Omori), and struggles to persuade the recalcitrant performers, including Hamabe Hirame (played by Hamano Kenta).
Furthermore, he ends up performing himself in place of a chorus member who has a fever...
"Thanks to everyone who loves ' Anpan,' I am very happy to be able to return to the story as Meiko," Hara said.
She also said, "The special edition includes many episodes that I myself have been curious about, such as behind the scenes of her musical appearance and Kentaro's proposal," and appealed to viewers, "I hope it can help fill even a little of the Anpan void that everyone feels. Don't miss it!"
