It has been announced that actress and singer Hirate Yurina will be performing the ending theme (ED) for the second season of the TV anime "Watari-kun's ****** Is About to Collapse" (Wataru-kun's XX ga Houkai Shinzen), "How to Raise a Menhera Without Failing." This will be Hirate's first time performing an anime theme song. It has also been announced that lia's band project "shallm" will be performing the opening theme (OP) "Futaribun."
Hirate commented, "The manga is simply so interesting that I found time between work to read it! The song is really catchy, and I hope you'll pay attention to the contrast between the pop nature of the song and the lyrics I'm singing! I brought Wataru, Satsuki, Makina, and Yukari all into myself! Lol. During the recording, I also tried to sing as if I was saying the lines rather than just singing, which was something I was conscious of this time! The anime is great, so please check it out!"
Shallm says, "The song 'Futaribun' was born from the gap between the joy of love and the frustration of not being able to give everything. Like a pudding in the back of the refrigerator, the song captures the moment when secretly protected feelings overflow without you even realizing it. I hope that you can gently feel the amplitude of these emotions along with the story."
The series began airing on TOKYO MX and other channels in July, with the second season airing consecutively from October 3rd. A promotional video announcing the start of the second season, using the opening and ending themes, has been released on YouTube.
