The new cast for the NHK Asadora drama "Kaze,Kaoru ," starring Ai Mikami and Juri Kosaka , which will air in the first half of 2026, has been announced on the official NHK Drama website (@nhk_dramas), and it has been revealed that actor Shiho Harumi will be appearing. This will be Harumi's fifth Asadora appearance, her first in six years since "Yell" in the first half of 2020, and she commented, "I've had the honor of appearing in many morning dramas!"
In "Kaze,Kaoru," he plays Ooya Kahei, the landlord of the tenement house where one of the main characters, Ooya Naomi (Uesaka), lives.
Harumi commented, "Oh, I wonder if anyone at NHK knew that I played the role of a 'caretaker of a run-down apartment building' when I was a student? (laughs) But this time I'm playing the role of a 'landlord of a tenement house'! Now I'm going to support Naomi with all my might! The only downside is that she has a foul mouth and sometimes it looks like she's fighting...but I'm an Edokko from my side! I may be poor, but I have a heart of gold!"
"Kaze,Kaoru" is the 114th serial TV drama. Set in the Meiji era, it is a buddy drama featuring two trained nurses, Ozeki Chika and Suzuki Masa, as its two protagonists. The two graduated from the same nursing school, but struggle with how to interact with patients and doctors, and grow through clashes, eventually becoming the "strongest buddy." Mikami plays the other protagonist, Ichinose Rin.
