A special collaboration event between the anime "Zombie Land Saga," which has a zombie x Saga x idol x comedy theme, and the professional baseball team Yomiuri Giants, "Zombie Land Saga the Movie: Yume Yumeginga Paradise Nighter @ Tokyo Dome," was held at Tokyo Dome (Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo) on September 10th, and Minami Tanaka, who plays Hoshikawa Lily, and Mitsuishi Kotono, who plays Yamada Tae, appeared at the opening ceremony for the game between the Yomiuri Giants and the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.
Mitsuishi said, "I support the Giants every day with my family. Thank you to all the players for always making my dreams come true! I haven't given up on becoming number one in Japan yet! I will keep that in mind as I pitch the ball." Regarding the movie version of "Zombie Land Saga : Yume Ginga Yumeginga Paradise" (general director Konosuke Uda), which will be released on October 24th, Tanaka said, "It's a very entertaining film with laughter and music! I would be happy if everyone who comes to Tokyo Dome could support us." Amidst thunderous cheers, Tanaka and Mitsuishi showed off their brilliant pitching.
After throwing the first pitch, Tanaka smiled and said, "I never thought I'd have the opportunity to pitch at Tokyo Dome in my life, so I was very nervous, but it was fun." When asked how she rated her pitch, Mitsuishi said, "90 points! My mind went blank as to the last 10 points, so I don't really remember..."
Regarding the theatrical version, Mitsuishi said, "Although the title has Paradise in it, it is not a warm and dreamy movie; if you let your guard down, it will shoot you right through!" Tanaka sent a message saying, "Many scenes in Saga are featured in this film, making it the kind of movie that will make you want to actually visit Saga, so I would be delighted if you would come to the cinema and visit Saga Prefecture."
"Zombie Land Saga" is an original anime set in Saga that depicts a group of girls who have become zombies and are striving to become top idols. The first season aired from October to December 2018, and the second season aired from April to June 2021. The story of the film is that a giant spaceship appears in the sky above Saga and begins to attack the city in 2025, when the city is in the midst of excitement for the Saga Expo.
